Ashwaubenon Public Safety officers responded to fire call at the home of William Petasek, 1613 W. Marhill Road, at 9:02 a.m. Sunday.

Public Safety Officers said that the origin of the fire was a circuit breaker they found blown.  They thought that it was probably due to a short or overload.

Al Timmerman, interim Public Safety Director, said that the firefighters used a thermal imaging camera and found that the ceiling was hot. They then opened the roof and found a 2 x 4 truss almost burned through. The firefighters extinguished the small blaze and took out the insulation.

Loss from the fire is estimated at $5,000.

Public Safety Officer Michael Haines and Officer Lovato exchange information about the house fire on West Marhill Road in Ashwaubenon last Sunday.
