School Board Changes

School Board Makes Personnel Changes

The Ashwaubenon School Board made some personnel changes before the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, at their meeting last Monday evening.   The board accepted the resignation of Linda Gantz from her half-time GLOBE position at Parkview Community School effective at the end of the 2006-2007 school year. She received a lay-off notice previously when the board approved several lay-offs.  Most of those teachers were called back or left the district for other positions.

Cynthia Russell-Smith submitted her resignation from her full-time program support position with the district effective immediately, Stephen Kid submitted his resignation from his Noon Duty Supervisor position at Valley View effective immediately.  Amber Yerkey submitted her resignation from an .81 (full time equivalent) physical education/adaptive physical education position with the district.  Her resignation is effective at the end of the 2006-2007 school year.

Adam Janquart submitted his resignation from a full-time Grade 4 Instructional position at Valley View Elementary School effective at the end of the 2006-2007 school year. Kerry Janquart submitted a request that was approved by the board, for a voluntary leave of absence from her 1.0 FTE Physical Education. The leave is for the 2007-2008 school year and it is non-paid. 

The board appointed 18 staff appointments at last Monday’s meeting:  They include: Holly Feldkamp to fill the three-quarter time Language Arts Limited term position at the high school effective with the 2007-2008 school year. The position is available due to to the leave of absence of Katie Gelb.

Renee Wesolowski is being recommended to fill the full-time math position at Bay Port High School at the beginning of this school year.  This position is available due to the resignation of Dana Strain.

Kathy Maccaux is being recommended to fill the Noon Duty Supervisor position at Valley View School at the beginning of the school year. 

Emma Frank was approved to fill the three-quarters time  Language Arts position at the high school  This position is the available due to the retirement of Lee Hartzheim.

Megan Fraaza was hired as an Spanish instructor  at Cormier and Valley View Schools. The position is available due to transfer of Dirk Ribbens to Associate Principal of the High School. 

Michael Raether was approved as a full-time instructor as a Social Studies teacher at Ashwaubenon High School.

Michelle Janssen was hired to fill the 9 month Educational Associate’s position in the Guidance Department at the high school. The position is available due to the transfer of Deb Friedl.

Valier  Hodgson was hired to fill the part-time FACE position the next school year. The position was made possible due to enrollment increases in this subject at the high school level.  Presently, she is employed as a part-time instructor. The additional time in FACE will make her a full-time instructor.

Lisa Bellile was hired to fill the half-time position as a special education program support instructor.  This position is available due to the resignation of Cindy Russell-Smith.

Jennifer Kozak was hired to fill the half-time Associate Principal’s position at Valley View Elementary School for the coming school year.  The position is available due to the resignation of Michael Sheean.

High School To Hold Musical November 29, 30 and Dec. 1-2

“CINDERELLA”

Ashwaubenon High School will be presenting the Musical “Cinderella”. Mark your calendars for November 29, 30, December 1, 2. This timeless fairy tale is reborn with music by Rodgers and Hammerstein. This musical was presented originally on television in 1957 and just recently in 1997. So come see this wonderful musical that will make all your dreams come true.
